Welcome to the Alpha Mu Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) at Texas A&M University.
It is an exciting time it is to be going through fraternity recruitment. Each and every year, the Interfraternity Council (IFC) makes great strides to increase the number of men who have the opportunity to become involved in Greek Life at Texas A&M. We know how exciting of a time recruitment can be, and we look forward to ensuring that you have a great experience.
At the beginning of the semester, we will be having a number of events that will allow you the chance to get to know a lot of Aggie FIJI’s. We hope that each of these events will be both fun and beneficial in helping you decide which fraternity is right for you. If you look around this page and the rest of the website, you will find more information on some of our upcoming events. If you have any questions, or would like to come to one of our events, feel free to call one of the rush chairmen listed below. They will be very helpful in making sure you can make it to each event.
Right now is a great time to be a FIJI at Texas A&M. Just this past January, we completed a 5,000 square foot multi-purpose facility. This facility is crucial in allowing us to have adequate room to hold parties, chapter meetings, parent weekends, alumni outings, and many more events. Year in and year out, we are one of the top ranked fraternities in academics, for both active members and pledges. We have also won the Intramural Cup, for top fraternity, each of the last four semesters.
As FIJI’s, we are committed to developing our men into leaders, both on and off campus at Texas A&M. We have a number of members who are highly involved in organizations on campus such as: Student Senate, Interfraternity Council, MSCC Spencer Leadership Conference, Fish Camp, and Student Government Executive Council. We also have a number of members who actively serve the community by volunteering their time to things such as The Big Event and IFC Spring Break Mission Trip. Fourteen FIJI’s went on the IFC Spring Break Mission Trip, which was the most of any fraternity.
Picking a fraternity can be a very important decision in determining your college experience at Texas A&M. I encourage you to attend rush events for a number of fraternities, allowing you to make the best decision. I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events!
P!
